Press Release: The North Royalton Community Pageant Returns to Celebrate America’s 250th Birthday
North Royalton, Ohio
The North Royalton Chamber of Commerce proudly brought back a community tradition. On Thursday, June 4, the North Royalton Community Pageant came to life on the stage at the North Royalton High School Performing Arts Center. The presenting sponsorship was graciously provided by Gross Residential. Contestants competed in categories aged 5 to 18 and showed poise, confidence, leadership and community spirit.
“Bringing back the beloved tradition in honor of America’s 250th Birthday has been incredibly rewarding” said Lisa Bargmann, Executive Director of the North Royalton Chamber of Commerce. “To see the youth in our community develop self-confidence and communication skills while having fun and making new friendships is what the pageant is all about. The energy and excitement backstage were contagious. The support from the business community and residents has been overwhelming.”
Local celebrity judges included Mackenzie Bart, Emmy-winning Meteorologist FOX 8 Cleveland and former Miss Ohio; Erin Simonek, Emmy-nominated journalist ABC 6 and FOX 28 Columbus and former Miss North Royalton; and Tracy Marx, President of the North Royalton Chamber of Commerce and Howard Hanna Realtor.
The pageant also gained televised promotion on New Day Cleveland and FOX 8 News, drawing positive attention to the youth of North Royalton.
The audience not only enjoyed the endearing qualities of the contestants, but also was entertained by local performing arts studios. The winners were crowned, received prizes and were celebrated on stage at the conclusion of the pageant. They will also be presented at the opening ceremony at the North Royalton Community Home Days June 3 and are invited to participate in the parade June 5. They will be participating in other events and community service throughout the year of their reign.
